A French themed Baby Shower

Recently three amazing friends, Brittany, Wendy and Laura
threw a baby shower for Baby Tobin & I.
It was a sweet simple shower with a french theme.
See the "Chanel No5" sign below except with his name. SO CUTE!

My friend Laura is amazing at styling parties and baking the most yummiest and beautiful party foods. She is a bit of a perfectionist. (Learned that having thrown a few parties with her.)
Her perfectionism definitely pays off though!

  The Menu:
French Baguette,
Nutella Choc. cookies,
puff pastry stuffed with melted chocolate,
pears slices, grapes,
Gouda and provolone cheese,
Vanilla cupcakes with frosting and raspberry on top,
melon wrapped in prosciutto.

Absolute 1st class.
I tell you what. She spoiled us for sure!
My favorite was having the pears with the Gouda cheese on a slice of baguette. Yum!

Don't they look absolutely professional and fancy?
They were just as yummy as they look!

I have to admit, I was not very good at taking photos and am SO VERY sad I have no photos of me with the other amazing ladies there. I also missed getting a photo with Wendy, Brittany, and Laura, the three that threw the shower for us! So sad.
Guess we will need a girls night out again soon for that.

My sister and I! check her new blog out!

Laura and Olea.
We played 3 fun games. One, was a slideshow of celebrity babies. We had to guess who's baby it was, and what their name was. If we could get both parents and the baby's name we got 3 points. She would give us a hint with the baby name to see if we could get the 2 points after.
It was challenging but fun.

The next game we played was basically name that tune/artist. Every song snippet played was from a song that had the word Baby in it alot. I did not know very many of them. I never was good at memorizing those kinds of facts. lol

The third game I loved. Everyone wore a sticker label on their forehead with a french word on it. These words were famous French places, people, things, foods etc. We could only ask yes or no questions to figure out who we were. I was one of the last to get mine. I was Naploeon.
Wish I had pics of this! We all looked so cool with those labels. Too fun!

Tobin was blessed with new adorable outfits, diapers, wipes, bath stuff, and cute handsewn baby "baprons", (mix between a bib and apron)
My close friend Cara gave him this ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE newborn baby hat in the mix. It is gray knit with a tiny brim. I seriously screamed when I pulled it out.
Why are tiny clothes just so cute?
It is definitely going to the hospital with us.

It was a wonderful evening and I am so thankful for all those who came and for my amazing friends who threw the shower for us!  I am also so happy my sister happened to plan a trip to be in town the same week they ended up throwing this for Tobin and I. I have only seen her 3 times in 10 years. Mainly just for weddings.

I also loved having my two oldest girls with me. They were so cute hanging with all the older ladies on their best behavior. It was very sweet.

Thank you!

Don't worry. As soon as little Tobin arrives, you will know! I will bring the comp. to the hospital with us so when I am coherent and hanging out in that bed I can blog a pic or two.
I cannot wait!

Have an awesome day!
