If you have spent even 5 minutes on a really cool blog you would notice there are so many cool links and great places to explore in blogland.
I created my MOMENTS FAVORITES blog to gather some of these sites all in one place. I use google reader as well but I really enjoy seeing a clip of the last post as well as the title and time last posted.
Recently after the move however I have felt overwhelmed and have spent little time surfing blog land. I check friends blogs out for a quick peek, I might browse a site or two here or there but mostly my internet time has resulted to checking email, updating Facebook status, and getting offline.
Today however, maybe because I am not able to walk around with this newly broken toe I spent much time in between school with the girls browsing some links on my google reader I forgot about. Oh the heavenly blog posts I found with such great ideas! Who needs magazines these days?
So today, you get to enjoy a few new links to browse yourself. As if you had no links to browse. If you even log on the internet links scream at you the whole way through.
Today they scream towards you from my blog. Hope you don't mind.
First stop.
How about Orange
Need to, or want to make some cute homamde Christmas stuff?

She also has a link to some really cute felt bows made out of a tutorial she posted.Click that link for sure. It is a super cute shop called Twig & Thistle. The felt bows are part of a five days of felt post series. SO cute!
Felt bows for gifts are so cute and totally reusable. I plan on making some for our gifts.

Next Stop on your link trip,
To Juicy Bits, a blog about sewing, design, family, and life. These super cute owl ornaments are on her blog along with a pattern to make the cuties yourself if you feel like more felt crafts.

Now on to a little homemade body goodness.
Koala Brains has a recipe for a super yummy body treat for the wintertime skin.
click here to check it out. I personally wonder what it would be like to make some of this myself. I'll let you know when I do.
I also really want to make my own detergentErin at Sutton grace talks about. She raves about how awesome it cleans and leaves her clothes fresh without too much scent.
Now, For some notepad making fun. I really want to make this as my girls love having their own notepads to write and color on. How cool would it be to custom make their own ?
Check this out at Craft Apple! You have to!
Ok. next, I have been making a few of these for certain little peoples Christmas presents and found this adorable version in felt. So clean cut and simple. I just want to go out and buy felt now and make one. The broken toe will prevent me from shopping for a few days longer so for now I will just ooogle it online and use the materials I have already in cottons.

Last I have a great notebooking site that has wonderful free printables for your kids writing, notebooking, journaling or whatever you like to call it. I also think a few of these would be great to use at church for activities with kids writing letters, journal pages etc. I will be loving this site for our homeschooling notebooks in the near future for sure.
Free resources here.

That's all for now. I have been icing my toe/foot while blogging and now it is time to stop. :)
Let me know if you have any cute links of felt projects..I am just in love with felt these days. Too much fun. :)

Thanks so much for mentioning me! I hope you toe heals quickly and you are not in too much pain! I wish you lived next door-- I would bring you some felt! Check back in on Friday, I am posting a new version of the crayon holder!
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays!
Cindy
I've made the non-felt version of the crayon holder and my only pet peeves are that 1. the crayons fall out, I've wanted to add a flap on top but haven't yet. 2. The kids can't tie it themselves, if I make them again I will make it velcro instead. Feel better and Merry Christmas
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome Cindy !I love your cute blog! Can't wait to see the new version tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteTina- I have made them with Velcro as I thought the same thing. I wanted the kiddos to be able to put it away without asking help. I haven't thought about the possibility of the crayons falling out. i actually haven't made one with crayons yet. I made some for colored pencils for older kids and the crayola twist crayons in the plastic tubes. They seem to stay ok so far. Thanks for the tips though.
Jenn-lee, how are you doing??
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!!
Hope things are going good. Little guy hasn't come yet has he?????
I'm very curious.
Hope you had a beautiful Christmas and a warm and safe new Year. Hope all is well.
